Job Purpose

A Transport and Logistics Supervisor oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of an organization transportation and logistics operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.



Principle Responsibilities

  • - Supervise daily logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • - Monitor and improve warehouse and transportation efficiency.
  • - Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or other facilities.
  • - Manage and oversee logistics staff, including warehouse workers, drivers, and dispatchers.
  • - Assign tasks, provide training, and evaluate employee performance.
  • - Resolve team issues and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • - Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to schedule shipments.
  • - Communicate with internal departments to meet production and delivery schedules.
  • - Address and resolve delivery or supply chain issues promptly.
  • - Ensure all logistics operations comply with local and international regulations.
  • - Implement and enforce safety procedures in the warehouse and during transportation.
  • - Conduct regular safety audits and address any violations.
  • - Monitor and control logistics costs, including transportation and storage.
  • - Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • - Prepare and maintain logistics performance reports, including KPIs such as delivery times and cost efficiency.
  • - Ensure accurate documentation of shipments, inventory, and other logistics activities.
  • - Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.



Qualifications Required

  • - Bachelor’s degree in Inventory, Archives, Documents, and Records from any recognized University/Institution.
  • -  Professional qualifications (e.g., Procurement, Records Management) will be an added advantage.
  • - At least 3 years of work experience.
  • - Experience in Banking/Financial Institutions will be an added advantage.
  • - Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • - High attention to detail.
  • - Flexibility to get involved in all aspects of information provision.
  • - High level of integrity.
  • - Pro activeness and innovation in problem‑solving.
